The principle
No subscription means: no card on file, no automatic charge, no countdown in the background. It does not mean a server runs forever with nobody wanting it.
Every instance has an expiry date. Renewing costs the plan price and is paid from your balance. That is the whole deal: keep your server by renewing it, or let it lapse.
Topping up
- Top up in the dashboard by card (Stripe) or PayPal; the amount shows in your history immediately. If you prefer a bank transfer, open a ticket with the amount.
- Your balance is visible in the dashboard to the cent, including every single transaction.
- Balance from before the euro switch was carried over to the cent.
What happens if you do not renew
- We remind you before it expires.
- When the time runs out the instance is suspended. It is off, but everything is still there.
- A grace period starts. During it you can renew and carry on.
- When the grace period runs out too, the instance is deleted. Container, directory and backups go together.
